Johnny Byrne

Byren really established himself in English football during the 1960- 1961 season as he scored a staggering 31 goals, helping the club to promotion in to the third division. After scoring nearly 100 goals while playing for Palace, he moved for a then British record fee of £65,000 to West Ham United in 1961. He was a regular member of the England side between 1961 and 1965. He returned to Crystal Palace in 1967 and enjoyed a fine second spell playing for the club.

Steve Kember

Steve made his debut for Crystal Palace during the 1965 – 1966 season and soon went ton to become a regular in the Palace midfield. He helped Crystal palace gain promotion in to the first division in 1969 and was a firm favorite with the Palace supporters. In the summer of 1971, Kember was installed as the new captain of Crystal palace. Several months later, after spending over six years playing for Palace, he moved on to sign for Chelsea and helped them win the European Cup Winners cup.
